When I was a year or so old, I would apparently stand up in my crib and cry out, "Mommy daddy, I wake up!" Depending on who you ask it was either a sing-songy statement or more matter-of-fact. Either way, I suppose it is time to teach the phrase to Daisy, since this is how we found her when she woke up from her morning nap. She's been standing up for a while and even pulling herself up a bit, but never upon waking until this morning. We were so proud we opened up the curtains and shot a video of how she does it. Then we shot another video of it because I had the camera turned on it's side (and for some reason we can't rotate videos. Grrrr.) The video is below. I particularly enjoy how happy she is about standing up. It's awesome. Now we've got to work on getting down in a way other than falling over like clear-cut cedar. Timber!
She is so proud of herself!! Good job Daisy! I remember Deanna doing that too. When she would wake up from her nap she would call for mommy or daddy instead of crying. Very good girl! (And good parents too!!!)
